Utility Technician and Operator Positions

We are looking to expand our team and currently have openings in our wastewater collection, water treatment plant operations, maintenance and distribution departments. Individuals who are highly motivated, self-starters with the desire to explore, innovate, be empowered, lead and serve others are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will be considered based on the following skills:

· Strong customer service skills

· Data collection and documentation

· Working knowledge of GIS platforms

· Strong mechanical aptitude and experience

· Strong organizational skills and a high attention to detail

· Strong analytical skills, ability to mine data and interpret trends

· Ability to troubleshoot issues, identify opportunities for improvement and implement change

Candidates with experience in some or all of the following are preferred:

· Water distribution and treatment plant experience

· Sewer collection system and treatment plant experience

· Experience with a wide range of business software and tools

· Experience operating utility instrumentation and controls (i.e. PLCs, RTUs, SCADA, etc.)

· Experience with GIS (geographic information system), preferably within a utility setting

· Experience working with water or sewer customers to help them understand processes, issues and solutions

· Experience with maintenance and repair of pumps, motors and other equipment utilized in the treatment and distribution of water as well as in the collection and removal of wastewater

· Previous work with a utility that has an active asset management program (valves, lines, pumps, meters, etc.)

Hiring requirements:

· Must pass an extensive background check and drug screening

· College degree preferred, will consider high school degree and some post-secondary education
